Tell Kevin McCarty to Listen to the Civil Rights Community in His Own State

Charter schools are under assault in California, and one of the key players in this attack is Rep. Kevin McCarty from Sacramento. Even as a member of the California Legislative Black Caucus, he acts directly against the interests of Black families through his opposition to public charter schools.

Black civil rights groups, including the Urban League and Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, have tried to meet with him but he isn’t taking their calls.

Send a letter to Rep. McCarty now and tell him to sit down with these civil rights groups.
