Margaret Thornton is a Ph.D. student in education administration and supervision at the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia. She serves as a graduate research assistant to the University Council for Educational Administration Headquarters Office. Margaret’s research interests include equity-focused school leadership development, school leadership for detracking and critical race theory. Prior to beginning her studies, she worked in detracking programs in Central Virginia in both teaching and leadership capacities.
